TIMELINE

The Timeline is one of the features which is removed from windows 11. This is not so old feature. It was introduced to Windows 10 in April 2018 feature update. This is a bit strange to hear the feature dropped for Windows 11. It was really so useful for a lot of people. Timeline allows you to track your last 30 days of history across all devices signed in with your Microsoft account. But it is quite strange to hear that, there is no place for Timeline within the redesigned Task View.

CORTANA

Cortana is one of the features which is removed from windows 11. It will not shout any longer like “HI, I’M CORTANA” while setting up a new PC. Cortana will exist only as an app. It is probably consistent with what you will find in windows 10. Now i am not sure that how many people will miss it.

INTERNET EXPLORER

Everybody guesses that Microsoft will beat Internet explorer in 2022. Already windows 11 is here to step on its tomb. It’s normal that Microsoft will not include an internet explorer inside in Windows 11, but it will include the browser as part of “IE Mode” within Edge.

Tablet mode

Tablet mode is deprecated in Windows 11 although it was used in the windows 10 surface pro device experience. When windows detect that the hardware keyboard has been removed from the windows tablet, it transitions to tablet mode. Accepted a more touch-friendly UI as well. Overall, the UI becomes more flexible and frequently used across devices. Microsoft also announced that “the keyboard attachment and detachment posture includes new features.”

QUICK STATUS FROM THE LOCK SCREEN

QUICK STATUS FROM THE LOCK SCREEN

On windows 10, quick status allowed users to see upcoming notifications from selected apps straight to the lock screen. But unfortunately, Microsoft has announced that Windows 11 will no longer feature quick status.

Start screen and tiles

Start screen and tiles

In the case of Windows 10, you can add app icons to the start screen and group them into large tiles, small tiles, static tiles, animated or still tiles as you like. But now you can’t even resize the start screen, and live tiles will be deprecated because of Microsoft’s new operating system. Fixed apps and sites that you have pinned within windows 10 will not carry over to windows11, either.
